Gena Davenport, LMT

Licensed Massage Therapist

Gena graduated from Anne Arundel Community College with an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Massage Therapy in 2009.   She has had additional training in the following techniques:  Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Release, Myofascial Release, Hot Stone Massage, and Foot Reflexology

Gena has extensive experiencing in working with neck and knee injuries, as well as shoulder, hip and knee replacements.    She treats patients with various pathologies including Parkinsons Disease, Cerebral Palsy, Lupus, Lyme’s Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Scoliosis and Migraines.

Holly Hatton, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant, Certified Kinesiotape Practitioner, Certified APTA Clinical Instructor

Holly is a native of Annapolis.  She graduated from the CACHE Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2008 and has been part of the family at AFPT since graduation.  Holly has a special interest in orthopedics and sports medicine.

 Holly has a special interest in running and her goal is to complete a half marathon every month for the next year.

Phyllis Hayden, PT

Physical Therapist, Biomechanical Specialist, Custom Foot Orthotic Specialist

Phyllis graduated with honors from the University of Maryland in 1985.  She began her career at the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) as a staff therapist.  Following extensive lower extremity biomechanical courses, she began an orthotics program at UMMS in 1986.  In 1989 she established a similar program at HEALTHSOUTH.  Phyllis then joined AFPT in 1995 where she continues to specialize in lower extremity biomechanics with correction using custom foot orthotics. She uses advanced 3D imaging equipment to make the orthotics.  She also works with general orthopedic and sports medicine patients.

In her free time she teaches dog agility classes as well participates in dog agility competitions with her border collie.

Tara Hatfield, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Tara received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science & Rehabilitative Services from Slippery Rock University.  She continued her graduate studies there earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2012.  Tara has a special interest in orthopedics and sports rehabilitation.  She enjoys working with all patient populations and various age groups.  Tara takes pride in motivating non-athletes to continue with exercise once they are done with physical therapy to continue to develop a healthier lifestyle.

In her spare time, you can find Tara spending time with her family, going for a run, or relaxing at the beach.

Mike Wells, DPT

Managing Partner Severna Park, Doctor of Physical Therapy, VEDA Certified Vestibular Disorder Specialist

Mike received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of Maryland in 2005 following completion of his Bachelor of Science degree at University of Maryland College Park in 2001. His clinical skills emphasize functional training and education to promote habitual changes. He focuses on body awareness and improving biomechanics to facilitate movement patterns and decrease pain. Mike utilizes soft tissue and joint mobilizations to optimize movement efficiency. His clinical interests include working with athletes and patients with orthopedic and balance dysfunction.Type your paragraph here.

Doug Wallop, PT

Practice Owner, Physical Therapist, Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner

Doug received his Physical Therapy degree in 1989 at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia after completing his undergraduate degree in Psychology at Randolph Macon College in Ashland, Virginia. Doug has a special interest in outpatient orthopedics and rehabilitation and he particularly enjoys shoulder rehabilitation.

In his spare time, Doug is an avid sailor and was the Team PT for Team Chessie in the 1997-98 Whitbread Round the World Race.

Ann Wallop, PT

Ann received her Physical Therapy degree at Thomas Jefferson University in 1989. She has a special interest in pediatrics, aquatic therapy and biomechanical assessment and rehabilitation. 

Chelsea Wiliams, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Chelsea is a graduate of the CACHE Physical Therapist Assistant program at Anne Arundel Community College. She worked as a PT Aide for 7 years, and after earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, she decided to return to college to earn her PTA degree. Chelsea loves learning new ways to challenge and problem solve through various injuries and diagnoses. She enjoys embracing and sharing the physical, mental and emotional journey of PT with her patients.

When she isn't stretching out limbs and correcting posture, Chelsea savors the outdoors and going to the beach.

Jillian Fichman, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified APTA Clinical Instructor

Jillian graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland. She went on to receive a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore. As a former competitive swimmer and gymnast, she has a special interest in treating orthopedic injuries and in sports medicine. Jillian is trained in a variety of manual techniques for land and aquatic treatments that she uses in a holistic approach. Jillian is a big proponent of lifelong fitness and enjoys working with patients to further a healthy lifestyle.  Jillian is trained in dry needling and likes to incorporate this into treatment of chronic pain.

When she is not working, Jillian enjoys swimming, running, competing in triathlons and most importantly, spending time with her family. 


Joy Lewis, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant,  Certified Aquatic Yoga Instructor, APTA Certified Clinical Instructor, Certified Health Coach

After 20+ years of working in the business and marketing world, Joy went back to school for a career change. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the CACHE Physical Therapist Assistant program in May of 2012 where she developed a passion for aquatic rehabilitation. She furthered her aquatic rehab education through the Aquatic Therapy and Rehab Institute.  When she is not in the pool, Joy draws on her previous career and directs the company’s marketing and program development efforts.

In her personal life, Joy enjoys spending time relaxing at home with her family and her three rescued dogs, gardening, yoga, dining out and traveling .
